Rhonda and Nadia
Today we spotlight Nadia and Rhonda (@itsfenom), sisters and board members for Black History Manitoba (@bhmwinnipeg)
As an avid community supporter, Rhonda has lent her Community Relations and Finance insight to several organizations. She always makes it her goal to facilitate community engagement opportunities and acts as a liaison between demographical groups to encourage knowledge transfer.
Rhonda also volunteers as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for both Black History Month Celebration Committee Inc. and the Congress of Black Women of Manitoba Inc, and is proud to be a member of Winnipeg’s Police Accountability Coalition.
Nadia is dedicated to the promotion of Black Culture and History throughout #Winnipeg. She joined the Black History Month Celebration Committee in 2009 helping organize various events throughout the city and now puts her heart into being the chair.
She continues to work with multiple organizations to promote diversity and culture in Winnipeg, connecting with various community groups to build a better relationships in our city. Her impact on Winnipeg has been evident and if you don’t know her name, we are sure you will know the face because she is just about everywhere.
What impresses us about these two ladies is how proud they are of their heritage and background. They truly care about people and believe we can all make our mark on this world.
