Urban Canvas is an open-air graffiti experience, created in partnership with Graffiti Art Programming Inc. Designed as a relaxed, creative session, this workshop invites participants to slow down, express themselves, and connect through art.
Guided by experienced graffiti writers, participants will explore the foundations of graffiti culture through line work, gestural mark-making, colour blocking, and illustrative design. The session focuses on understanding letter structure and flow, using a range of graffiti alphabets and references as a starting point to develop an individual visual language.
Participants will practice creating a piece based on their name, alias, alter-ego, or a word of personal meaning—allowing personality, movement, and emotion to come through in their work. Along the way, they’ll learn about the history of graffiti, the language behind the art form, and why self-expression has always been at its core.
Set in the open environment of The Campus, Urban Canvas reflects Zueike’s belief in community, creativity, and taking time to slow down and create. Whether you’re new to graffiti or looking to refine your approach, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore street art, build confidence, and leave with a piece that’s uniquely yours.
